At least 82 people were killed and hundreds injured early Saturday by the explosion of a gas cylinder in a busy restaurant in the center of India, police said.
The blast, whose origin was unknown, occurred at 3:00 GMT in the Jhabua district in the State of Madhya Pradesh when dozens of office workers and schoolchildren were having breakfast, said Ms. Seema Alava, senior district police.
